My preferential choice would to be stick with WordPress - It does have some minor inconveniences but it has a lot of useful plugins and Google does seem to like WordPress sites and if you have some php/html knowledge you can easily edit your own themes and have the site how you exactly want it.

Worldpress and Drupal are over done for certain sites.... I mean I see people using these CMS and its really hard to mantain them in the end. Editing is a real headache. Files are named using silly expressions that make them large and cryptic. Trying to add anything is always more complicated at best and takes more time. then having your own custom cms. My advice is try not to re-invent the wheel when its not needed. But on the other hand sometimes re-inventing can make it better depending upon what your using it for. DJANGO, Rails, PHP CMS , and perl are best for what your going to need them for solving the solution. Perl for instance has AWSTATS, python has matplotlib, php as a CMS and on and on .

Re: Greg Koukl vs. Deepak Chopra

Deepak encourages people to embrace uncertainty. My question is... why does one have to wallow around being uncertain? God gave us His Word through the Scriptures and sent his only beloved Son to be our Saviour as payment for our sins so that those who believe in him (not just through some mere leap of faith) will have everlasting life for He is "the way, the truth, and the life", and "no man cometh unto the Father, but by me"(Christ). [emphasis added]

Deepak says that he doesn't believe in sin. He calls it ignorance. I think most people would generally think that "ignorance" is the act or thought of not actively seeking truth because the term is defined as "lack of knowledge, education, or awareness ". Why is there such a lack to begin with? Because he, and other like him, refuse to believe in the Word of God. That is pretty much being ignorant... the very thing he says he is working towards not being. It IS definitely a denial of the ONE(yet triune) True God.

Satan loves views as like the one shared by Mr. Chopra, but then maybe Deepak is also uncertain about the existence of Satan as well? I know it is an oxymoron to say that Satan "loves", but I don't mean the word love to be used as being synonymous to that of what Jesus showed to us and spoke of. Naturally, I mean it more along the line of desire and lust.

@Tony above, I suggest that you seek out sound doctrine and churches. No, not all churches teach sound doctrine. Some are actually very far off, which is just as harmful. As Greg mentioned in the debate, study the reason why a certain church places faith in their beliefs. If their basis is "uncertain" or not sound as a rock, then that should be enough to be a red flag. Jesus Christ established the church upon a rock... meaning, with sound foundation... truth. We all know what happens to a house if it is built on a false/bad foundation. I suggest you get yourself a Bible (I personally like my King James study companion Bible because of the Greek translational fixes and notes) and find individuals who are well learned in theology, history, language, etc... to help you understand what it is that you are reading. It's one thing to read something and another to understand/comprehend it with wisdom.

Sorry Deepak, but you sir appear to me to be lacking of wisdom and understanding. I shall pray for you.

Proverbs 2

"1My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

Re: Moral Relativism Failure #4: Self-Refuting

Cut in line in front of a relativist and watch what happens.....suddenly, you have an absolutist.

Re: What is most confusing to you about Christian Apologetics?

WHAT HAPPEN WHEN A PERSON DIE WITH OUT KNOWING GOD? What or Who are you defending? Does the truth really need a defender or defence for that matter? CARM says: Apologetics is the branch of Christianity that deals with the defense and establishment of the Christian faith.

Come on brethren, defence and the establishment of "Christian faith"? A branch of Christianity? What have we been doing the last two thousand years? What are we working for? Where are we headed, as a people, nation and race? Do we really have time to "play church"?

Re: Moral Relativism Failure #1: No Standard to Judge

Haha, just saw article written in 2007. This is just so out-of-place. Speaking of her service like this is just utter disrespectful, even if used as an analogy for the sake of clarification. Well, maybe it is how you truly see her as just a "do-gooder", pity. Also, what you term "moral relativism" God through inspiration calls indifference (Rev. 3,15). More bothersome however, is the indifference of "good" men. Here I am referring to Christians or many so-called.

Re: What is the Atonement?

Sorry, I don't always cite for orthodox (commonly-understood) theology. I'm not certain how these are contrary. Please explain, and feel free to cite as well.

1. 1 John 3:4 "Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness."
2. Romans 3:23: "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

How sin infects us all, including infants: Romans 5:12-21:

"12Therefore, just as(A) sin came into the world through one man, and(B) death through sin, and(C) so death spread to all men because(D) all sinned— 13for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but(E) sin is not counted where there is no law. 14Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sinning was not(F) like the transgression of Adam,(G) who was a type of(H) the one who was to come.
15But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for(I) many. 16And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For(J) the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought(K) justification. 17For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness(L) reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

18Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. 19For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous. 20Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 21so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Re: What is the Atonement?

1. "Sin is defined as disobedience to the law of God."
2. "Every single person is born a sinner."

If the above are fact, then how can an infant human disobey God's laws? God does not create sinners. Adam and Eve were created without sin and they chose to sin. We are no different today.

The above statements are quite contrary and cannot be backed up with scripture (which is why I'm assuming none was given).

Re: Increase Traffic to your Christian Blog: Part 2

Thanks for this post, it has been really helpful, I will definately be following your advice.

Re: 33 of the Best WordPress Plugins

Hey Richard, thanks! People with only a casual knowledge of the Bible are viewing these writings as infallible sources of information regarding all things prophetic, historical, cosmic and even spiritual. Certainly there's a satanic force at work churning up global interest in non-Biblical ancient documents whose contents convey messages that contradict and challenge the absoluteness of the Bible. These "rival" holy books have a semblance of the truth, and their authors may have even been based their writings loosely on the truth passed on to them by word of mouth or otherwise, but can never claim DIVINE INSPIRATION as the Holy Bible does, regardless of their apparently advantageous position on the conception time-line with respect to the Bible.

Re: The Work of the Holy Spirit

i want to know about the work of the holy spirit based on the book of acts,
